Annual Gifts

When you give to the area of greatest need, your gift will have the greatest impact.

One of the easiest and most important ways to give to the university is by supporting the USF Annual Fund. These gifts impact virtually everything at the University of Saint Francis and are critical to the services and technology provided to every student, every year.

Your gift (big or small) combines with the gifts of many others, to make a comprehensive, values-based USF education a reality. Internships, tutoring and counseling services, laboratory equipment and financial aid are all made possible thanks to the generosity of those who give to the Annual Fund.

Recognition and Memberships

The university recognizes the generous support of USF Annual Fund donors by granting membership to either the Franciscan Society or Cougar Blue Society. Donors who give to the USF Annual Fund for consecutive years are recognized with membership in the President’s Circle.

USF Annual Fund gifts of $2,500 or more are recognized with a Named Annual Scholarship. Donors are invited to meet the student recipient of their scholarship at the USF Annual Scholarship Luncheon, and are recognized in the program.

For more information, please contact Alexandra Kreager, Director of the Annual Fund, at or 260.399.8007 ext. 6407.

When you endow a gift to USF, you provide perpetual support for generations of students. Endowments can be named after you or in honor or memory of someone else. Endowments support the shared Franciscan values of the university, and can become family traditions with succeeding family members adding to its principle throughout the years.

The minimum level for endowments is $25,000 and can be paid over a period of five years. Please contact Matt Rowan, Director of Development, at or 260.399.8033 ext. 6406.

Campaigns & Special Projects

Since its founding 1890, USF has grown steadily. With that growth comes a need for additional physical space, as well as the creation and expansion of key programs.

USF regularly identifies strategic building and special projects, like the Downtown Campus Capital Campaign or the Achatz Science Laboratories Capital Campaign, which you can choose to support directly. Your gift helps the university continue to grow while maintaining a rich educational environment.

For more information on capital campaigns and other special projects, please contact Matt Rowan, Director of Development, at or 260.399.8033 ext. 6406.

Planned Gifts

The pinnacle of giving to USF is a planned gift, which can include bequests and other types of estate gifts. Planned gifts are the perfect complement to the dedicated annual gifts you make throughout your lifetime, ensuring that your legacy carries on to provide for the long-term success of the university and future generations of students.

The easiest and most common form of gift planning is the inclusion of a gift to USF in your will or estate plan. However, there are many alternatives to consider.

For more information on planned gifts, please contact Sister Marilyn Oliver, Director of Planned Giving, at or 260.399.8036 ext. 6403.

Tribute Gifts

Many gifts to USF are made in honor or memory of special occasions and lives.

You may wish to honor a wedding, anniversary, graduation or confirmation with a gift to USF. The university will recognize the person whose special occasion or accomplishment motivated your gift.

You can also honor the memory of a person or persons with a gift to the university. A gift made in memorandum will leave a lasting impact on the lives of USF students.
