Students

Bridging the gap

When you give to the University of Saint Francis, you make a direct investment in our students – in their lives, their opportunities, their futures.

For many students, your gift is what makes a USF education and experience possible. Each year, government funding for higher education shrinks, leaving a gap between financial aid and tuition. Private support like yours bridges that gap.

Community Needs

A bright future for our community

A USF education shapes the lives of our students. But it also shapes the communities where they will live – and for more than 70 percent of our graduates, that community is Fort Wayne.

A USF education is guided by Franciscan values and our graduates have a reputation for being compassionate and caring professionals. These students will influence the professional climate of our region. And that means a bright future for our community.

Values Based Education

Learning, leading and serving

For more than 125 years, USF has been learning, leading and serving in Indiana.

Founded in 1890 by the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration, USF continues to provide an engaging, rigorous, high-quality liberal arts education in the Franciscan tradition.

It is up to our community of alumni and friends, corporations and foundations, faculty and staff, students and families to carry on this rich heritage. Private support is required to sustain our proud tradition of values-based education.

Servant Leadership

An investment that will do good

A USF education is shaped and informed by Franciscan values. Students learn and grow by focusing on reverence for the unique dignity of each person; encouraging a trustful, prayerful community of learners; serving one another, society and the Church; fostering peace and justice; and respecting creation.

These values are lived out daily on USF’s campus, inspiring and encouraging servant leadership in each student. That means a gift to USF is not only a good investment; it’s an investment that will do good.
