Donor Recognition

When you give back to your alma mater, you join other alumni in assisting the next generation of University of Saint Francis students as they work to reach their educational goals and vocational dreams.

USF is forever grateful to the generations of alumni who have changed lives and communities in Indiana and across the country.

Cougar Blue Society

USF celebrates students from convocation to commencement. Gifts from graduates of the last decade are designated to the USF Annual Scholarship Fund and honored with membership in the Cougar Blue Society.

These gifts immediately and directly impact the lives of USF students who are just beginning their educational journey. Support from alumni is vital to the success of current and future USF students, and the Cougar Blue Society celebrates those who help bridge the gap in funding a values-based education.

President’s Circle

The President’s Circle honors alumni and friends of USF who have demonstrated their loyalty through consecutive years of giving. Members are recognized for giving any amount for more than two consecutive years.

Franciscan Society of Annual Giving

The Franciscan Society at USF honors annual giving. Taking its name from Saint Francis of Assisi, this society honors alumni and friends who invest in USF’s mission of education with gifts between $100 and $25,000 or more in any given year, and includes the following four levels:

  • Saint Francis Circle: $10,000 – $25,000+
  • Saint Clare Circle: $5,000 – $9,999
  • San Damiano Circle: $2,500 – $4,999
  • Assisi Circle: $1,000 – $2,499
  • Founders Circle: $100 – $999

Bonzel Society of Lifetime Giving

The Mother Maria Theresia Bonzel Society recognizes USF’s major benefactors. Your membership in this society indicates that you have expressed your love for and belief in the university through financial support at the highest levels. You have helped shape USF’s history and growth in important ways.

Like the Sisters of Saint Francis of Perpetual Adoration foundress, whose name this society bears, you have established a lifetime of giving. Your lifetime membership recognizes contributions of $100,000 up to $1 million and beyond.

Recognition levels within the Bonzel Society are:

  • Gold: $1 million and over
  • Silver: $500,000 – $999,999
  • Bronze: $100,00 – $499,999

Seraph Society of Planned Giving

The Seraph Society signifies the special group of friends who support USF through planned gifts. According to Biblical teaching, seraphs comprise the choir of angels closest to God’s throne. Saint Francis of Assisi, the university’s patron saint, described a vision of Jesus Christ on the cross, enveloped by the wings of a seraph.

Your place in the Seraph Society symbolizes your love for God, as well as your desire to share in Saint Francis’ mission to help others. Your legacy will ensure the education of students who will graduate from USF and, in turn, serve their communities.
